Rona Jones, Registered Osteopath teaches small group Pilates classes in Wimborne. Rona trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and is a registered instructor. The exercises have been modified so that they are suitable for patients of all ages including those who are recovering from injury. Classes run on MONDAYS at the following times during school term times:
Community Learning and Resource Centre, 41-44 King Street, Wimborne, BH21 1EB located within the King Street car park (known locally as the CLaRC). The car park entrance is opposite the model town and can be accessed on foot behind the Minster. For a map, please click here.
Parking: 70p for 1 hour, £1 for 2 hours. Free after 6pm.
Classes are organised in blocks of approximately 6 around school terms and cost £10 each, payable in advance for a half term block. Normally, there are no classes in school holidays but there will be some ‘ad hoc’ classes in August.
Unfortunately, missed classes cannot be refunded but I endeavour to offer swaps or make-up sessions wherever possible when absence is notified in advance.
Prior to joining
All participants are required to attend at 30 minute 1:1 session to run through the basics and discuss any relevant medical history. I have found that patients get on much better in a class if they have had a 1:1. The cost of this is £25.
Please note that the 1:1 sessions take place at the clinic, not the CLaRC.

All equipment is provided but please bring a small towel to use as additional support for certain exercises.
What to wear
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for exercise (but also suitable for me to see if your abdominal muscles are working, so not too baggy please). We recommend you wear grip socks to avoid slipping.
Individual sessions are cost £40 and take place at the clinic. Please call the clinic to book 1:1 sessions.
